Logan is 2 months old!

Well, Logan turned 2 months old yesterday. With turning 2 months comes the not-so-fun event of vaccinations! Boy was that a miserable experience. Of course it's heartbreaking to watch your child get the shots and scream at the top of their lungs while it's happening, but it doesn't last too long - maybe 30 seconds at the most. The worst part was after we got home. After we left the doctors office, we went to Babies-R-Us. I figured Logan would sleep right through it since he had already been up for 2 hours, which is a really long time for him. Instead he was wide awake and very happy. He was smiling at me constantly and talking away. He fell asleep in the car on the way home, so I put him down in his crib. At this point I'm thinking he'll be one of those kids who isn't really affected by vaccinations. Boy was I wrong!!! When I went to get him up to eat around 1PM, all hell broke loose. He SCREAMED a high-pitched scream that let me know he was not feeling well at all. He refused to eat, too. After a while of both of us crying (him in pain and me feeling like the worst mom in the world for causing the pain), I got him calmed down as he lay on my chest. After he fell asleep I put him back in his crib. He woke up again at 3:30 and ate a little bit, but mostly screamed again. I got him calmed down pretty quickly that time. He slept until about 5:30, when he finally woke up happy and was willing to eat. He was still tired though and just wanted to cuddle. I loved cuddling with him, but it was so sad to see him in such pain. Thankfully, today he is doing much better. He's back to his old self.

Now for the bragging part...Sunday night he slept almost 9 hours!!! He slept from 9:30PM to 6:15AM. What a great night that was! He usually only wakes up once between 4 and 5 to eat, anyway, but it was so nice to get to the point where he can go all night. The last 2 nights he hasn't slept all the way through, but I know, now, that he can do it and that makes this mom VERY happy :)

Lastly, the 2 month statistics are that he is 11 lbs, 1 oz. and he is 22.5 inches long. He is following the 50th percentile curve perfectly.

I'm glad he's recovered from the shots! That sounds miserable :-( Poor thing.

I love how much he smiles in his pictures now!!

Yay for sleeping through the night. I'm sure it will be soon that it will happen consistently. It sounds like Logan is doing really well and growing well too.
